5 Test Cricket Records which could be Broken in India vs Sri Lanka 3rd Test

India will be facing the Sri Lanka Cricket Team for one final time in Tests this Year. These two Asian Teams are playing against for the 2nd Sreies this Year. India has been the dominant hand in both the Tours. They have beaten Sri Lanka almost every match they played against this year. The Third Test of India vs Sri Lanka, 2017 Series Starts today. Here we are with some Indiavidual Test Cricket Records that could be broken during the course of this game.

Sri Lankan Team, not in their prime form, has not played any decent Cricket in the Recent times apart from winning those Two Tests against Pakistan. They were in a dominating position in the First Test of this Indian Series but ended up in a near-loss situation at the end, thanks to Captain Virat Kohli’s Match Winning Century at the 2nd Innings.

Virat Kohli 5000 Runs in Tests

He also will be completing 1600 International Runs when crossing 39 Runs.

And by Completing 123 Runs, he will reach 3000 Runs as Test Captain.

Leaving only his ODI Records as he has broken Most of the Record in this year as Batsman and Captain in ODI.

He has got the Most Runs by any Captain in a Calendar Year & also the Most Runs in ODI in 2017

Shikhar Dhawan 2000 Test Runs

Shikhar Dhawan has played 27 Test matches scoring 1924 Runs so far.

He needs 76 Runs to get into 2000 Runs in Test.

If so, he will be the 38 Indian Player to cross 2000 Test Runs.

With KL Rahul in the loop, it is now a tough fight between both these players for the Openers Spot along with Murali Vijay.


Umesh Yadav 100 Test Wickets

Umesh Yadav, who is at 99 Wickets in 36 Test Matches he has played, need 1 more Wicket to get that 3-digit Wickets Tally.

If so, he will be the 21st Indian Player to get 100 Test Wickets.

With one more Wicket, he will go above Irfan Pathan who has got 100 Test Wickets so far.

By doing so, Umesh Yadav will go into the list of Top 20 Indian Wicket Takers in Test Cricket.

Mohammed Shami 100 Test Wickets

The Another Fast Bowler, who is nearing the landmark pf 100 Test Wickets is Mohammed Shami.

Shami has got 92 wickets and needs 8 more to reach the 100 wickets milestone.

Mohammed Shami has taken only 26 Matches to get into this Space & he is at 25th Place in Indian Bowlers list with Most Wickets.

Anil Kumble stands top as the Indian Bowler with Most Wickets in Test Matches. Anil Kumble has taken 619 Wickets with the best Bowling of 74/10.

Most Consecutive Series Wins in Test Matches

Indian Team under Virat Kohli has been playing some Brilliant Cricket lately.

India has beaten Sri Lanka twice in the last two years in Sri Lanka and West Indies once in West Indies.

Apart, India has beaten South Africa, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh and Australia in India the last two years.

On doing so, India hav won 8 Consecutive Test Series under Virat Kohli Captaincy.

Sri Lankan players who were not only down with their game also with their Body-Language, have some things to cheer up.

Sri Lankan Bowlers Dilruwan Perera & Suranga Lakmal need 1 & 5 Wickets to reach 100 Test Wickets respectively.

On Doing so, they will be the 6th & 7th Sri Lankan Test Bowlers to claim 100 Test Wickets.
