Only five pairs in ODI cricket have ever crossed the magical number of 300-runs partnerships in the format.
Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid are the first cricketing pair ever to put together a triple century partnership in an ODI innings. The Indian duo scored together 318 runs for the 2nd-wicket against Sri Lanka in the 1999 World Cup match at Taunton. Ganguly scored his ODI high score of 183 in this match.
In November of the same year, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid joined hands to create a new partnership record of 331 runs-stand against New Zealand in Hyderabad. Dravid’s highest ODI score of 153 came during that partnership and came Sachin’s then high score of 188, which also stood as the highest Indian individual ODI score. He went on to break the same record by scoring a 200 later.
