Sri Lanka will look to stick with the same playing XI as they improved their performance compared to the first ODI. Bhanuka and Avishka both played well in the batting powerplay in the last match, they will look to convert their starts into big knocks. Hasaranga took three key wickets and made a comeback for his team. Rajitha and Shanaka also bowled well.
India may stick with the same playing XI after winning two consecutive matches. Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan are likely to retain their places in top order along with skipper Shikhar Dhawan. Manish Pandey got out with an unfortunate dismissal, as he will likely get another chance at number four in the batting section. In the bowling department, all bowlers have played brilliantly in both matches so they will remain the same in this third ODI as well.

Batsmen: Shikhar Dhawan has been outstanding with the bat in this series so he will be an obvious choice. Prithvi Shaw has scored 56 runs at a strike of 160 in two matches. Suryakumar Yadav also scored his maiden fifty in the last match. Avishka Fernando scored 83 runs in these two matches and looked very solid in the middle. Dasun Shanaka can be picked because of his all-rounder ability.
Wicket-Keeper: Ishan Kishan will play in top order and he is also running in good form. The left-handed batsman scored his maiden fifty in this series.
