South Africa’s David Miller has taken the most catches as a fielder in T20I cricket.

Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik was the first fielder to grab 50 catches in T20I cricket. He held on to 50 catches in 124 innings.

The UAE’s Muhammad Waseem has taken the fewest innings to grab 50 catches in T20Is. He held on to his 50th catch in his 65th T20I innings.

South Africa’s AB de Villiers has the best catches per innings ratio as a fielder in T20Is. He achieved a catches per innings ratio of 0.846 while taking 44 catches in 52 innings.

Australia’s David Warner has grabbed the most catches in the T20 World Cup, with 25 of his 62 career catches coming in the tournament.


Record-Breaking Single Match Fielding Performances

Wedage Malinda (Maldives vs Qatar, 2023), Sedik Sahak (Sweden vs Isle of Man, 2025), and Tanzid Hasan (Bangladesh vs Ireland, 2025) have held onto five catches as fielders, the most in an innings in T20Is.

Sedik Sahak’s effort is even more impressive, as he became the first fielder to take five catches on his T20I debut.

Oman’s Ayaan Khan has grabbed the most catches in a bilateral T20I series. He pocketed nine catches in the five-match home series against Namibia in 2024.

Indonesia’s Danilson Hawoe has claimed the most catches in a calendar year in T20Is. He took 25 catches in 41 innings in 2025.

Uganda’s Brian Masaba was the first bowler to pocket 20 or more catches in a year in T20Is, having achieved the feat with 20 grabs in 2023.

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock has taken the most catches as a wicketkeeper in T20Is.
