The road to cricket’s 2023 Asia Cup starts on April 18, with the inaugural edition of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup getting underway in Nepal.
The tournament will be played in the 50-over format, with ten teams battling to become the first nation to lift the trophy on May 1.
There are two groups of five teams in the opening round-robin stage, with each facing the other four sides in the section just once.
The top two teams from each group progress to the semi-finals, while the eventual winner will gain direct qualification to the Asia Cup.
The ACC Men’s Premier Cup will undoubtedly attract plenty of interest among sports bettors in Arab countries, with several Middle East nations featuring in the tournament.
Punters who bet on cricket can get their wagering underway when Nepal face Malaysia at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.
Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu is the other venue being used, with each of the group games and semi-final ties scheduled to start at the same time (9.15 am IST).
