David Warner Centuries List in Test, ODI, and T20I

David Warner is an enigma in the cricketing world. The star Aussie player started as a dashing young batsman known for his flamboyant style of play, which was pretty much made for the shorter formats of the game. But he moulded his game well to become one of Australia’s all-format batsmen to ever grace the game.

Warner made his international debut in a T20I game against South Africa in 2009 at the MCG, where he made a stunning 43-ball 89 and immediately made a name for himself on the biggest stage. He became the first Australian player in 132 years to play a Test without having first-class experience and finished as the 5th highest run-getter for the team (8786 at 44.59) in this prestigious format. He is also the 6th highest run-getter in the ODI format for the 6-time World Champions, while being the 2nd highest in the shortest format.

Overall, he has scored over 18600 runs in 370+ international games and is the 2nd highest run scorer for Australia across formats with over 49 centuries. Let us look at all of his centuries, which helped him achieve greatness at the highest level.

He smashed as many as 6 tons in that calendar year, which is the most by him. He made 1136 runs at an average of 63.11 (his best average with a minimum of 500 runs). In 2015 and 2017, Warner made 4 centuries each, making them his other productive years in Test cricket.

1317: His run tally in 2015, which is the most by Warner in any of the calendar years. The left-hander accumulated this in 13 Tests at an incredible average of 54.88 and striking at just less than 82.

3: Warner has made twin centuries in the same game three times, which is the joint most in Test history along with India’s Sunil Gavaskar and his fellow Aussie great Ricky Ponting.

2: The former Aussie Test opener converted 2 of his 26 centuries into a double ton (one each against South Africa and New Zealand).

1: Warner is also one of the Test batters in history to have scored a triple hundred, and his 335* is also the second-highest by an Australian in the longest format of the game.

6: Number of centuries David Warner has scored against Pakistan in Test cricket; this is his most against any opponent. He averages 73.9 against them (1552 in 13 games) and has 5 tons each against New Zealand and South Africa. The only team that didn’t face the wrath of Warner in terms of centuries is Sri Lanka, against whom he has a best of 85.

20 of his centuries have come while playing at home, and 18 of his total tons came in a winning cause. He also has 2 centuries in the last innings of a Test match, which is very great.
