Francois (Faf) du Plessis first played for CSK in 2012 and continued to be with the Dhoni-led side until 2021. In between, when the Yellow Jerseys were banned for two years in 2016 & 2017, he was part of the Rising Pune SuperGiant squad. Key Stats
The best year of Faf du Plessis in the tournament came in 2021 when he opened the innings for CSK with Ruturaj Gaikwad. The opening pair was a huge success as they played a big part in CSK’s fourth IPL title that year.
The former South African captain has been a major contributor for the “yellove” side over the years – one of the top five run-scorer for CSK.
