It was in October 2013, when Virat Kohli smashed the record fastest century by an Indian batsman in the ODI history.

Virat crossed the hundred mark in his 52nd ball of the innings while chasing Australia’s mighty 360 successfully.

Rohit Sharma, the other centurion in India’s Innings, was declared the Man of the match for his score of 141*.

Result: India chased down the Target (361) in 43.3 overs with a loss of a single wicket. HUGE win it was.

2. Virender Sehwag in 60 Balls

Before Virat Kohli’s “went-like-a-rocket” innings in Jaipur in 2013, It was Virender Sehwag, who was enjoying the tag of ‘Fastest Indian to score Hundred in ODI’

The innings came once again in one of India’s successful run chase, where the former captain stayed not out, completing the chase of New Zealand’s 278 with the fastest ODI century by an Indian batsman then.

5. KL Rahul – 62 Balls

Few days after Rohit Sharma’s blistering knock of Rohit Sharma against Afghanistan, KL Rahul put on a pacy show against Netherlands, which happened to be India’s record for the fastest century in a ODI WC match.

Putting in a formidable partnership with Shreyas Iyer, both the Indian batters scored centuries to bring a mammoth total of 410/4.

6. Rohit Sharma – 63 Balls

Coming after a shocking start against Australia in the CWC 2023 Opener, Rohit Sharma set the tone much earlier in the chase against Afghanistan.
