Virat Kohli scored the fastest 20 Test hundreds as skipper. He took 86 innings to attain the feat as India’s captain.
Graeme Smith is the other skipper to bring up 20-plus hundreds in Tests, though he needed 140 innings to reach the mark.
Michael Clarke hammered the highest individual score by a batter for his 20th Test hundred. He brought up an unbeaten 259 against South Africa in 2012.
Overall, nine batters converted their 20th centuries into double tons, with Clarke, Kohli, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson being captains at that time.
Ken Barrington, Aravinda de Silva, Graham Gooch, and Mark Waugh brought up exactly 20 hundreds in their Test careers. In all, over 46 batters have scored 20 or more Test centuries.
