4. Mushtaq Mohammad
In the first innings, Mushtaq came out to bat when the score read 51/3. With the team in a precarious position, Mushtaq played an influential knock of and took the team’s score to 341. Trailing by 341, West Indies couldn’t bat to their full potential as they lost all their wickets with meagre 154 on the board. Mushtaq was the again the destroyer-in-chief for West Indies claiming 5 wickets for 28 runs.
Mushtaq followed up his century in the first innings with a half-century in the second. He scored 56 vital runs and played a crucial role in taking Pakistan’s total to 301/9 when they declared. Chasing 489 to win in the fourth innings, the Caribbean line-up succumbed to 222 handing a 262 runs victory to Pakistan. Mushtaq, yet again made an impact with his 3 scalps to his name giving away 69 runs in 31 overs.
