Harry Brook needed just two innings to score his maiden Test century. He is among the 17 England batters to bring up their maiden Test century in their career’s second innings. 

His maiden ton turned out to be the third fastest for England in Tests. Brook raced off to his hundred in 80 balls before his knock concluded on 153 off 116 at a strike rate of 131.89 against Pakistan in the 2022 Rawalpindi Test.

Brook’s first three Test centuries came against Pakistan. He is just the third batter to do so after West Indies’ Conrad Hunte and England’s Peter Parfitt.

Brook took six innings to reach his third Test hundred, the fewest among England batters. And he is the only English triple centurion in this century

The right-hander is one of the four English batters to score three or more Test hundreds in New Zealand. And Brook is marching steady fast towards the active batters list with most Test centuries.

Brook brought up his third century in New Zealand off 91 deliveries, the quickest for England in the country. Overall, it’s the third fastest for England against the Kiwis. His rapid 123 helped England beat the hosts by 323 runs.

A couple of months earlier, Brook smashed his personal best Test score. On a flat Multan deck, he hammered 317 off 322 against Pakistan. Brook reached the 300-run mark in 310 balls to make it the second quickest triple century in the format.

Brook had three half-centuries before his maiden ODI hundred. He was, in fact, pretty close to converting his maiden fifty into a century but fell short by 20 runs.

Brook, however, converted his fourth half-century into his maiden ODI hundred. He aggregated 110 not out from 94 balls against Australia. 

Interestingly, this was also Brook’s first ODI century as England captain. And so, he became the youngest England skipper to smash an ODI hundred. He was 25 years and 215 days old at that time.
