Pink-ball Test is one of the significant advent in Test match cricket and in a way, it gives a complete new dimension to the format. The traditional form of the game is played under lights and with pink ball and all these makes the game unpredictable. The challenges posed by the pink ball is much different to the normal red-ball, especially under artificial lights.

27: The number of centuries scored in pink-ball Test cricket and Marnus Labuschagne of Australia leads the way with four centuries in a day-night Test match. The only others players to have scored multiple tons in this form of Test cricket are Travis Head, Asad Shafiq and Dimuth Karunaratne, who have all scored two each.

335: David Warner’s marathon knock against Pakistan at Adelaide in 2019 still remains the highest individual score in a pink-ball Test. He is closely followed by Pakistan’s Azhar Ali, who made a sensational unbeaten 302 a few years earlier.

3: Only thrice double century has been attained by a batter in pink-ball Test and seven times 150-run mark has been breached. Labuschagne is the only batter to have more than 150-plus score in a floodlit Test match.

21: The total number of batters to have scored a ton in a pink-ball Test match and one of the most surprising names in the list is the former Pakistani leg-spinner Yasir Shah. The latter scored 113 against Australia at Adelaide back in 2019 in what was his only Test century till date.

7: Number of Australian batters to have scored a pink-ball Test ton at least once and this is the most for any team. On the other hand, only one each from India (Virat Kohli), West Indies (Darren Bravo) and Sri Lanka (Dimuth Karunaratne) make it to the list.
