Key Insights

India became the first team to win a tie-breaker in the shortest format. It was a T20 World Cup match against arch-rivals Pakistan, where a bowl-out method came into effect to determine the winner of the tied match.

Apart from this match, India has been involved in 3 tied matches against New Zealand, with India emerging as the winners in 2 games (through the one-over eliminator method). While one match resulted in a tie due to the DLS method and Super Over couldn’t happen thanks to rain. Moreover, all 3 tied matches took place in New Zealand.
