Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been consistent over the years and the main reason they have found success is that they stuck with the same core of players, something which was missing from them in the yesteryears. Though they have not tasted an IPL triumph yet, RCB has reached the playoffs consecutively in the last 3 IPL editions. In that way, the 2023 edition also holds for them as far as the team combination is concerned and their fans can hope for a maiden IPL title from the Faf Du Plessis side.
What happened?
RCB, as mentioned above has not made many changes to their squad and by the looks of it, this highly polarised side may not be doing much come the upcoming 2023 IPL mini auctions. They have retained almost all of their first-choice playing XI players while trading Jason Behrendorff to Mumbai Indians. But even then RCB possesses a really solid side. Having finished just short of finals in the 2022 edition, RCB will look to clinch the 1st IPL crown, the one which has been eluding them all these years.

Faf du Plessis (Captain), Virat Kohli, Suyash Prabhudessai, Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat, Finn Allen, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Harshal Patel, David Willey, Karn Sharma, Mahipal Lomror, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, Siddarth Kaul, Akash Deep

Purse Remaining & Remaining Slots

Overseas slots remaining to be filled: 2
With all the bases covered, RCB is a side that doesn’t have to worry about its team combination when it comes to the auctions. They have only 8.75 crores to spend at the auctions and 2 overseas slots to fill. With Behrendorff not available with them, RCB might look to add an overseas pacer to support Josh Hazlewood, while bolstering the middle order with a solid overseas batter. Other than that, RCB will have a real quiet time in the auctions.
