Key Insights
Quinton de Kock’s 140 not out is the highest individual score against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL. The left-hand batter brought up the score for Lucknow Super Giants in a 2022 match.
David Warner was the first batter to score a century against KKR in the IPL. He scored an unbeaten 107 for Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals) in 2010.
Seven years later, Warner smashed another hundred (126) versus Kolkata, this time while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The southpaw reached the 100-run mark off 43 balls, the quickest against KKR.
Jos Buttler is the other batter to score two hundreds against KKR in the IPL. Unlike Warner, both of his centuries came for one team – Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Overall, KKR have seen opponent batters go past the 100-run mark in an innings against them 13 times. This is the joint-most centuries conceded by an IPL team.
Three batters from Punjab Kings have a century each against the Knight Riders in the IPL, the most from an opponent team. Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the other teams with two centurions each.
Wriddhiman Saha’s unbeaten 115 is the highest score against KKR in IPL playoffs. Interestingly, he was the first batter to bring up a hundred in the IPL Final. Despite Saha’s heroics, Punjab lost the 2014 Final.
