Gujarat Titans (GT) have recorded the highest team total in an IPL playoff match. They posted 233 runs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2 in 2023, thanks to Shubman Gill, who posted the highest ever score by an individual in Playoffs in that match.
GT also scored the highest total in an IPL final game. In the 2023 final, they put up 214 runs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). This is also the highest total in a losing cause in the playoffs and the final. In a rain-interrupted match, CSK gunned down a revised 171-run target.
CSK were the first team to score a 200-plus total in the playoffs. Interestingly, it (205/5) came in the 2011 final, which they won against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
