A 10-wicket haul is a rare achievement by a bowler when picking up 10 wickets combined in both innings of a Test match.

Stats Insights

The top 5 looks almost the same as the Test’s 5-for list, with only Rangana Herath replacing Anil Kumble. In the list topped by legendary spinners, former Kiwi pacer Richard Hadlee gets the tag of the fast bowler with the most 10-wicket hauls in Tests. He has got 9 10-fors in his Test career, closely followed by Australia’s Dennis Lillee and England’s Sydney Barns, who have had 7 each.

Eighteen players have picked a 10-fer in their debut Test match.

Ashwin, the only current-gen player on the list, needs three more 10-fors to finish behind Murali and Warne.

Kagiso Rabada and Nathan Lyon, with 4 10-for each, stay second among the active bowlers. However, Lyon has slightly more Test wickets than Ravichandran Ashwin. The Australian off-spinner got into the elite 500-Test wickets list before Ashwin.
