Key Stats

1: So far, only one game has ended in a thriller tie that saw both teams put up 350+ totals in an ODI match. This match between the West Indies and the Netherlands took place in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in June 2023. 

While batting first, the Windies scored a huge total of 374/6, riding on the back of a quickfire 104 off 65 from Nicholas Pooran. In response, the Dutch team pulled off an unbelievable performance thanks to Teja Nidamanuru’s 111 off 76, captain Scott Edwards’ 67, and Logan van Beek’s late charge of 28 off 14 balls. 

The Netherlands needed only 1 run off the last delivery; however, van Beek lost his wicket, and the game ended in a tie. Later, in the Super Over that followed, van Beek ensured the victory that was pivotal in the Dutch team booking their place for the 2023 World Cup in India.

20: Only 4 teams — India, South Africa, Australia, and England — have managed to score 20 or more 350-plus totals in ODI cricket, with India leading the pack.

1: South Africa is the only team that has a win percentage of 100 among the teams that have posted 20 or more 350-plus scores on the board.

360: In 1987, the mighty West Indies became the first team to score a 350+ total in ODI cricket. The West Indies amassed a total of 360 against Sri Lanka in the 1987 World Cup, thanks to Desmond Haynes’ 105 and Viv Richards’ 181 off 125, which is one of the highest scores by a No. 4 batter in ODIs.
