Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene has taken the most catches in ODIs. He pocketed 218 catches in 443 innings.

Jayawardene picked up 68 of his catches in away games, the most by any fielder.

Allan Border picked up 92 of his 127 catches in Australia, the most by a fielder in his home country in ODIs.

New Zealand’s Ross Taylor has the best catches per innings ratio in ODIs (minimum 70 catches taken). He had a catches per innings ratio of 0.612 to end up with 142 catches in 232 innings.

Ricky Ponting took 28 of his 160 catches in the ODI World Cup. This is the most catches by a fielder in the 50-over tournament.

Australia’s Adam Gilchrist has taken the most catches among wicketkeepers in ODIs, having claimed 417 catches in 281 innings.
