Key Insights

Suresh Raina holds the record for playing the most consecutive matches for a single IPL team. The southpaw represented the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 158 matches in a row across the IPL and CLT20.

Raina’s 158 matches are also the most by a player for any team in all T20s. He is the only player who has played 150+ matches on the trot in T20s.

2: Virat Kohli is the only player to have a streak of playing 100 or more matches for the same IPL team twice. Kohli has played 100+ successive matches for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, not once but twice. His first streak lasted for 144 games between May 21, 2008, and May 29, 2016. And his second streak has been going on since April 14, 2017.

Five players each have featured in 60 or more T20 matches for Chennai, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians. Only CSK have four players who have played 100 or more successive matches for them.
