The first overseas batter to enter the 5000 runs milestone list, David Warner, is the highest overseas run-scorer in the history of the IPL. Warner has the best batting average (40.52) for a batsman with more than 5000 runs in the IPL. The Caribbean legend Christopher Henry Gayle is the third-highest run-scorer among foreigners in the IPL. Gayle also holds the record for hitting the maximum number of sixes (357) in the tournament. Gayle’s 175* against Pune Warriors India is also the highest individual score in the league.

Shane Watson’s highest score of 117* against SRH, which came in the final of the 2018 edition, is one of the greatest knocks in the history of the tournament, and he still ranks as one of the top run-scorers against SRH.
