50: During the 4th Test match of the 2024 India vs England series, India became the first team to smash more than 50 sixes against an opponent in a bilateral Test series. The Men in Blue hammered the England bowlers across the park in the 5-match series at home. By doing so, they broke their previous record of 47 sixes hit against South Africa in 2019. 

28: Out of those sixes, 28 alone came in the third Test match of the series in Rajkot — the most sixes by a team in a Test match. Again, India shattered their record of 27 sixes smashed against South Africa in the 2019 Visakhapatnam Test.

20: During the same series, Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first batsman to slam 20+ sixes in a 2-team series. He is currently sitting at the top of the table.

30: The West Indies was the first-ever team to breach the barrier of 30 sixes in a series. The Caribbean side hit 32 sixes in 5 matches in the 1974/75 series while touring India, when six-hitting wasn’t a regular sight, and that too in red-ball cricket.
