Among the cricketers who have scored more than 10000 Test runs, India have three of them: Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sunil Gavaskar.
The trio, along with Virat Kohli, have smashed 30 or more centuries for India in the longest format. Among them, Tendulkar has the most, with 51 tons to his name.
The former Indian batsman, Sunil Gavaskar, was the first overall cricketer to reach 10000 runs in Test cricket.
9607 runs of Gavaskar’s 10122 came as an opener, the most for India in Tests. Sehwag is the other opener to score more 5000 runs. The Delhi batter aggregated 8124 of his 8503 runs while opening for the Indian team.
Three other players (not part of this list) who have more than 5000 Test runs for India are Gundappa Viswanath (6080), Kapil Dev (5248), and Ajinkya Rahane (5077).
