David Warner is the fastest to reach 5000 runs in IPL. The Australian took just 135 IPL innings to reach the mark, whereas it took 157 innings for Virat Kohli.
Warner played for Delhi Daredevils from 2009 to 2013 and brought to Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. He has won the Orange Cap thrice in IPL, which is the highest in the tournament’s history.
Virat Kohli is way ahead of the other contenders in overall run scoring. He is already the first to reach 6000 IPL runs and will reach the 7000 runs in IPL soon. His best year of 2016 is still the best IPL season for any batsman by a great extend.
