Rohit Sharma has been a lucky charm for the Men in Blue as India had won all 7 matches when he made centuries.
His 4th and 5th centuries came in the same game as he made twin centuries in a Vishakhapatnam Test against South Africa. With that effort, he became only the 2nd Indian opener to score a twin hundred in a Test match. Sunil Gavaskar has done this thrice in his career. Overall, Rohit is the 6th Indian to achieve the feat.
The Vizag Test was the first time he batted as an opener in the longest format. The three centuries before that Test came while batting as No.6 and the rest of his centuries while opening.
His first double century score in Test came against South Africa in Ranchi. India won that game by an innings and 202 runs.
