During this week, a total of two ODIs were played between South Africa and Zimbabwe where South Africa won both the ODIs and won the three-match ODI series 3-0. Also, one Test match was played between India and Windies, which India won comfortably by an innings and 272 runs and is currently leading the series 1-0.
There were many admirable batting performances this week, a century by Virat Kohli, Prithvi Shaw and Ravindra Jadeja. In addition, there were some appreciable bowling performances by Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Imran Tahir and an all-round performance by Dale Steyn.

5. PRITHVI SHAW:
He is a player who has scored a century in his first Ranji match and first Duleep Trophy match. Therefore, Indian fans wished a century from him in his debut match for India as well. He fulfilled the wishes and scored 134 runs against Windies in Rajkot and became the youngest Indian batsman to score a century on Test debut. For his performance, he was adjudged as the Player of the Match. At present, he is the second highest run-getter of the series.
4. VIRAT KOHLI:
After a great batting performance against England, Kohli continued his purple patch against Windies. He scored his 24th Test century and became fastest Indian to reach this landmark in 123 innings. He became the first player to cross 1000 Test runs in 2018. In addition, he is the first captain and first Indian to score 1000 plus Test runs in three consecutive calendar years. Currently, he is the leading run-getter of the series.
3. IMRAN TAHIR:
After a poor performance in the ODI series against India in February, Tahir directly got chance to play against Zimbabwe this week. In the second ODI, he bowled a six-wicket haul spell, which includes a hat-trick as well. He became the oldest bowler to take a hat-trick in international cricket at the age of 39 years. Previously, Rangana Herath took a hat-trick at the age of 38 years against Australia in a Test in 2016 at Galle.
He picked eight wickets in this week and ten wickets in three matches of this series, due to the fact, he was the leading wicket-taker of the series and Player of the Series as well.

2. DALE STEYN:
This was his first ODI series in 2018. However, this time it was his batting, which helped South Africa win the match. Out of the three ODIs, he played last two ODIs against Zimbabwe. In the second ODI, South Africa was 101-7 in 25.1 overs when Steyn came to bat. He had a 75 runs partnership with Andile Phehlukwayo. Besides, he also scored his maiden ODI half-century, which helped South Africa reach 198 in 47.3 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe got all out on 78, courtesy, Imran Tahir’s six-wicket haul spell. Steyn was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his batting performance and for his two wickets, he picked.
He was the third highest wicket-taker of the series with five wickets in two matches.
1. RAVINDRA JADEJA:
Jadeja showed his skills in the last Test against England and then in the Asia Cup. Therefore, he did not miss a chance to perform well at his home ground in Rajkot against Windies. While batting, he made his maiden Test century and while bowling, he picked four wickets, one in the first innings and three wickets in the second innings.
He is currently third highest run-getter and wicket-taker of the series.
