James Anderson

Stuart Broad
Stuart Broad stunned the cricket world when he announced his retirement from international cricket on the third day of the fifth Test of the Ashes 2023 against Australia.
Broad, an all-rounder in his heyday, also led England in T20I cricket. At the T20 World Cups in 2012 and 2014, he served as the Three Lions captain. Broad travelled the world playing international cricket, but he did not take part in any IPL games.
After initially declining the T20 league, Broad eventually entered the 2011 IPL mega-auction and signed with the Punjab Kings (PBKS) for Rs 1.84 crore. Due to a side strain, he was ruled out of the IPL 2011 before the season began.
Despite Broad’s absence from IPL 2011, PBKS supported him and kept the pacer for IPL 2012. Borad was unable to travel to India for the T20 league yet again, this time owing to a rib injury. Following that, Broad was unable to secure an IPL contract.
Broad and James Anderson turned down the IPL in 2009. Both were determined to play Test cricket. Broad recently took his 600th Test wicket, and Anderson has 690 in the longest format.
