IPL Auction 2018 is set to go on January 27 & 28 in Bangalore. IPL Committee has announced the list of players who will go under the hammer on the 2 days auction festival. A Magnum total of 578 players, who are divided into multiple sections based on their expertise, are lised by the IPL Committee. The Auction will begin with the two list of Marquee players who are considered to be the big fish in this IPL Auction.

What is Marquee Player in IPL Auction?
Players with big demand among the IPL teams are listed as Marquee players by IPL Committee, irrespective of their expertise as Batsman, Bowler All Rounder, & Keeper.
The Marquee players will be the first names in the IPL Auction and they will go under the hammer before other players.

Players are divided into many sections.
Two sets of Marquee players have been announced. M1 & M2.
Players from M1 will be sold first and then goes M2 before the other lists of Batsmen, Bowlers, All Rounders & Uncapped.
There are a total of 16 marquee players in the list – 8 Players in M1 and 8 Players in M2.
