Key Stats

Inzamam-ul-Haq is the only Pakistani cricketer to score 20000 runs in international cricket across formats. Here is a tweet from Circle of Cricket on his birthday.

The highest ever individual score by a Pakistani batter in

  1. Test – Hanif Mohammad – 337 vs West Indies (Bridgetown, 1958)
  2. ODI – Fakhar Zaman – 210* vs Zimbabwe (Bulawayo, 2018)
  3. T20I – Babar Azam – 122 vs South Africa (Centurion, 2021)

Former middle-order batter Younis Khan holds the record for the highest number of centuries by a Pakistani batter in all formats – 41, followed by 39 centuries by Mohammad Yousuf. Yousuf had a magical year in 2006 when he scored 9 Test centuries within a year – an all-time record.

When it comes to half-centuries, Inzamam takes a big lead as the former captain has scored 129 of them. He has 164 50+ scores (including centuries) in 547 innings (which is again a Pakistani record) he has played. That is almost 30% of the innings he has batted. This is a record which is expected to be broken by Babar Azam. The current Pakistani skipper has been phenomenal with his batting against various competitors.

Babar is the only Pakistani batter to have a 50+ batting average among anyone who has batted more than 10 innings for Pakistan. You can understand his superlative batting performance across formats in different conditions by looking at his all-format centuries list here.

Wasim Akram, the former Pakistani captain with a Test-best score of 257*, has been dismissed for a duck 45 times across all formats. He is the only Pakistani player to be named in the top ten cricketers with the most ducks in all three formats combined.

On the other hand, Shoaib Malik tops the Pakistani chart for most unbeaten innings – 79.
