Key Insights
Umesh Yadav’s 35 wickets against Punjab Kings are the most by a bowler against an IPL team. He has picked up those wickets across 22 games with an average close to 17 and a strike rate of around 14.
Alzarri Joseph’s 6 for 12 are the best bowling figures against an IPL team. The right-arm pacer ripped through Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) lineup while playing for Mumbai Indians (MI).
Only James Faulkner has picked up multiple five-wicket hauls against an IPL side. He took two five-fors against SRH in 2013 for Rajasthan Royals (RR).
When it comes to four-wicket hauls, Sunil Narine has the most against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The Kolkata Knight Riders spinner has three four-fors versus Bengaluru.
Lasith Malinga is the only bowler to lead the wicket charts against three different IPL teams. The former MI star did so versus Chennai Super Kings (31), Deccan Chargers (19), and Pune Warriors (12). Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah are other bowlers to top the charts against two teams.
KKR have conceded the most hat-tricks in the IPL. Four bowlers have achieved the rare feat against them thus far.
Amit Mishra has taken hat-tricks against three IPL teams, the most by any bowler in the league. Yuvraj Singh follows with two opponents.
