Tim Southee has taken the most wickets at home in T20Is, picking up 91 wickets in 66 innings in New Zealand.

Southee took 31 of his 91 wickets against Pakistan in 15 innings, the most by a bowler at home against a single T20I team.

West Indies’ Jason Holder has grabbed the most wickets in a home bilateral T20I series, picking up 15 scalps in the five-match home series against England in 2022.

Annual Performance and Four/Five/Six-Wicket Hauls

New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy has taken the most wickets in a calendar year in home T20Is, snaring 29 wickets in 16 innings played in New Zealand in 2025.

Aamir Kaleem (Oman), Ajantha Mendis (Sri Lanka), Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka), and Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) are the four bowlers to bag two or more five-wicket hauls in home T20Is. Find the overall leader of picking 5-wicket hauls in T20I cricket.

Best Home Bowling Figures and Key Efficiency Metrics

Malaysia’s Syazrul Idrus has delivered the best bowling figures in a home T20I, returning with seven wickets while conceding just eight runs against China in Kuala Lumpur in the regional T20 World Cup qualifier in 2023.

Virandeep (Malaysia), Shem Ngoche (Kenya), and Vraj Patel (Kenya) are the three bowlers with a bowling average below 15 at home in T20Is (minimum 500 balls bowled).

Virandeep, Ngoche, Patel, Pavandeep, Khizar Hayat, and Vijay Unni (all from Malaysia) maintain their economy rates below six in home T20Is (minimum 500 balls bowled).

New Zealand’s Adam Milne is the only bowler to have a bowling strike rate below 13 in home T20Is (minimum 500 balls bowled).

Virandeep is the only bowler to take 20 or more wickets at two venues in his home country (Malaysia) in T20Is.
