Aaron Finch holds the record for the highest individual score in T20Is, having smashed 172 off 76 against Zimbabwe in 2018. This is also the highest individual score by a captain and an opener in T20Is.
Finch is the only batter to smash two scores of 150 or more runs in T20I cricket.
Muhammad Waseem’s 112 for the UAE against Ireland in 2022 is the highest individual score by an associate batter against a full member team in T20Is.

Turkey’s Mohammad Fahad has recorded the highest strike rate in a T20I innings, scoring his 34-ball 120 at 352.94 against Bulgaria in 2025. Estonia’s Chauhan (144* at 351.21 vs Cyprus) and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza (133* at 309.30 vs Gambia) are the others with a 300-plus strike rate in an innings.
