Matthew Spoors of Canada holds the record for the highest individual score on T20I debut, scoring an unbeaten 108 off 66 balls against the Philippines in 2022.

Canada’s Ravinderpal Singh became the first player in history to score a century on T20I debut, smashing 101 from 48 balls against the Cayman Islands in August 2019. See which team has the most number of debutant centurions in the shortest format.

Ravinderpal Singh and JP Kotze share the record for the highest individual score on T20I debut when batting at the No. 4 position.

Kuwait’s Adnan Idrees registered 79 runs from 50 balls against Qatar in 2019, the highest individual score while chasing on T20I debut.

The knock by Idrees also stands as the highest score in a successful run chase by a debutant.

Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting aggregated an unbeaten 98 from 55 balls against New Zealand in 2005, which remains the highest score by a debutant in an overseas T20I.

Ricky Ponting was the first batter to score a half-century in T20Is, achieving the feat in the first-ever T20I match in February 2005.

Jehan Mubarak of Sri Lanka recorded the highest strike rate on T20I debut (min. 10 balls faced), scoring an unbeaten 46 off 13 balls at a strike rate of 353.84 against Kenya.

Dunbar and Ravinderpal smashed 10 sixes each, the joint-most by any batter in a debut T20I innings.
