The Most Prolific 100 Consecutive Innings Ever in T20Is

The Top Two with 3500+ Runs in 100 Consecutive T20I Innings

India’s Virat Kohli leads the run tally for batters with the most runs in 100 consecutive T20I innings. In innings number 8 and 107, Kohli had amassed 3868 runs, and this sensational run saw him make his only T20I century against Afghanistan.

The former Indian skipper had made those runs at an impressive strike rate of 138.79, which is marginally higher than his career SR of 137.04. In this sequence, he topped in two T20 World Cups (2014 & 2016).

The next most prolific batter in a 100-inning T20I sequence is Pakistan’s Babar Azam. The right-hander batter made 3651 runs in between innings 2 and 101 at an average of 41.97 and striking at a rate of 129.56.

The other batters to score over 3000 runs in 100 successive T20I innings are Jos Buttler, Martin Guptill, Rohit Sharma, Virandeep Singh, David Warner, and Aaron Finch.


Consistency: Batters Exceeding the 2000-Run Mark

A total of 22 batters have scored 2000 or more runs in 1000 successive T20I innings. Beyond the top 10, these 12 batters have crossed the mark and joined several leading T20I batters. They are:

Record Batting Averages in 100 Consecutive Innings (Minimum of 2000 runs)

Virat Kohli’s batting average of 55.26 is the highest for a batter with a minimum of 2000 runs in 100 consecutive innings.

Babar Azam’s batting average of 41.97 is the second-best for any batter in a given sequence of 100 successive T20I innings. This is slightly better than his career T20I batting average of 39.54 in the 129 innings he batted.

Apart from them, only two other batters, namely Jos Buttler (39.95) and Virandeep Singh (38.35), have a batting average of 35 or more in 100 consecutive innings. Nine other batters who have scored at least 2000 runs in 100 innings have an average of 30 or more.


Highest Batting Strike Rates in 100 Consecutive Innings (Minimum of 2000 runs)

Talking about strike rates, Glenn Maxwell’s 157.20 is the highest for a batter with a minimum of 2000 runs in 100 successive outings. The all-rounder has scored 2630 runs at an average of 30.94 with the help of 11 half-centuries.

Jos Buttler’s strike rate of 152.06 is the second-best for a batter amongst this list of 22, and his run tally makes him the third prolific run-getter.

The other players who batted with a strike rate of more than 140 are: Rohit Sharma (144.30), David Warner (141.98), Aaron Finch (142.33), Syed Aziz (141.72), Sikandar Raza (140.18), and David Miller (142.07).


Most Fifties in 100 Consecutive T20I Innings (Minimum 2000 runs)

Much like the highest run-getter list amongst all batters in 100 Consecutive T20I Innings, Virat Kohli also has the most half-centuries (37) in the stunning T20I batting phase of his.

The next best is Babar Azam, who hammered 33 half-centuries in his 100 successive outings.

Only three batters, namely: Mahmudullah, David Miller, and Shoaib Malik, have scored fewer than 10 fifties in 100 consecutive innings (minimum 2000 runs). They all have 8 half-centuries each.
