Record-Breaking Quickest T20I Hundreds by Balls Faced

Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan has scored the fastest century in T20I cricket, bringing up his hundred off 27 balls against Cyprus in 2024.

Chauhan eventually remained unbeaten on 144 in 41 deliveries, the highest individual score in a successful T20I run chase.

Muhammad Fahad’s 29-ball hundred against Bulgaria in 2025 is the quickest by an opener and a wicketkeeper in T20I cricket.

Sikandar Raza’s 33-ball century against Gambia is the fastest by a captain in T20Is. This is also the fastest T20I hundred by a full member batter.

Raza’s unbeaten 133-run knock powered Zimbabwe to 344 for 4, the highest team total in men’s T20I. Later, Zimbabwe bowled out Gambia for 54, recording a 290-run victory, the largest in T20Is.

Johnson Charles brought up his hundred off 39 balls against South Africa in the 2023 Centurion T20I, the fastest by a batter in a losing cause.

Muhammad Fahad recorded a strike rate of 352.94 on his way to 120 off 34 balls, the highest by a batter in a T20I innings (minimum 30 balls faced).

JP Kotze brought his century in 43 balls against Botswana in 2019, the fastest by a debutant in T20I cricket.


Quickest T20 World Cup Century

Chris Gayle holds the record for scoring the fastest century in the T20 World Cup. He reached his 100 in 47 balls against England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the 2016 edition.
