KL Rahul and Virat Kohli have recorded the highest partnership in the ODI and T20 Asia Cups. The pair put up a 119-run stand for the first wicket against Afghanistan in the 2022 T20 Asia Cup. A year later, Rahul and Kohli shared an unbeaten 233-run partnership for the third wicket against Pakistan in the ODI Asia Cup.
Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez forged a 224-run partnership against India in 2012, the highest for the first wicket in the ODI Asia Cup. This is also the highest partnership in a losing cause in the ODI tournament.
Kohli also featured in the highest partnership in a successful run chase in the ODI Asia Cup. His third-wicket stand of 213 runs with Ajinkya Rahane helped India ease past the 280-run target against Bangladesh in 2014.
Kohli contributed to four partnerships of 150 or more runs, the most by a batter in the ODI Asia Cup. Interestingly, all of those partnerships came with different partners.
