BCCI selectors have announced the squad of Indian cricketers for the upcoming bilateral limited-overs tournament in Sri Lanka this July.
India will be touring and playing the hosts, Sri Lanka, in 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is between July 13 and 25, 2021.
The Indian Test cricket team is currently in England for the World Test Championship Final in June and the England Test series in August. So the Sri Lankan tournament provided the selectors with a chance to test their young players ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year.
Shikhar Dhawan is appointed the captain, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, his vice.
All the matches will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
