Salary of Indian Men Cricketers – Detailed & Explained

How much does an Indian Cricketer get paid? must be the most asked question on the Internet among Cricket fans. The fans are always keen on knowing what is the annual income of Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni.

The Indian national cricket team players are paid annually based on the grade system, decided by the BCCI administration. The Grades of players varies corresponding to the roles and the formats the players play.

There was also a tiny debate on paying more for the Indian cricket players who play all three formats. To sum up all, BCCI has come up with a new salary structure by introducing A+ grade for players who play all three formats of the game in addition to the already existing A, B & C grades.

Indian Cricketers Salary Structure – 2023

It is said that Grade A+ players will be paid 7 Crores per year with Grade A, B & C players will be paid 5, 3 & 1 Crores respectively.

Below is the list of players who are categorised under every Grade.

Grade A+ (7 Crores)

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah

Grade A (5 Crores)

Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, K L Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant

Grade B (3 Crores)

Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma

Grade C (1 Crore)

Deepak Chahar, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan, Wriddhiman Saha, Washington Sundar

Match Fee of Indian Cricketers

Apart from the annual payment, the players will also receive match fee based on the grade they are in. Here’s a summary of cricketers’ match fee.
