Martin Guptill breaks into the league of 150 ODI sixes in style. He is now the fastest batsman in ODI Cricket to hit 150 Sixes.

The right-handed batsman from New Zealand took 157 Innings to reach the mark, breaking Shahid Afridi’s previous record of 160 Innings to 150 ODI maximums.

Fastest to 150 Sixes in ODI Cricket

Martin Guptill entered the elite list of batsmen with 150 ODI sixes during his Century knock against Sri Lanka in the 1st ODI at Bay Oval.

Interestingly, it is also the 1st ODI century of this year – 2019.

Here is the list of top 10 batsmen who are the quickest to reach the mark of 150 ODI sixes.

One can see that Martin Guptill took 157 ODI Inns and 160 matches to reach the mark, where Shahid Afridi needed 160 ODI innings & 164 matches.

Rohit Sharma, who had a slow start to his career, took to his 165th innings to reach the 150 sixes mark in the ODI format and thus completing the top 3 in the above list.

Having said that, Martin Guptill’s next landmark will be the fastest to 200 ODI sixes, the record which Rohit Sharma broke recently.
