India has won at least one Test at five of the six venues they have played at in Sri Lanka.

The Indian team also holds its highest Test total on Lankan soil at Colombo (SSC), where they put up 707 in response to Sri Lanka’s 642 for 4 (declared) in the second innings of the 2010 Test.
India’s lowest Test total in Sri Lanka came at Galle, where they were bundled out for 112 while chasing 176 in the first Test of the 2015 series.
Galle has also been the site of India’s largest run-margin win in Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue thrashed the hosts by 304 runs in the 2017 Test, which is India’s second-highest victory in Asia in an away Test.
India has lost two Tests by 10 wickets in Sri Lanka, with both defeats coming at Galle.
India played at Pallekele for the first time in 2017 and immediately logged their largest win by an innings. They beat Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs to complete a 3-0 series whitewash.
India’s nine wins in Sri Lanka are the joint third-most by an overseas Test team. Virat Kohli was in charge for five of those wins, the most by an Indian skipper in Sri Lanka.
