Key Insights

Anrich Nortje, Rashid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, and Shakib Al Hasan are the four bowlers to take three or more four-wicket hauls in the T20 World Cup. Ten more bowlers have picked up multiple four-fors in the event.

Twelve of these bowlers have pocketed a five-wicket haul in the global T20 tournament. Umar Gul was the first bowler to grab a five-for – 5 for 6 against New Zealand in 2009.

Ajantha Mendis’ bowling performance of 6- or 8 against Zimbabwe in 2012 is the only instance of a bowler picking up six wickets in a T20 World Cup match.

Mendis is also the only bowler to pick up two 6-wicket-haul in T20 Internationals.
