Zimbabwe became a full member of the International Cricket Council in 1992; they are currently ranked 13th in One Day International Cricket. The African team played their first ODI match on 9th June 1983 against Australia.

So far Zimbabwe cricket team has been part of 9 ODI World Cups. Their best result in the ODI World Cup was in 1999 and 2003, when they reached the super six stages. Brendon Taylor, Andy Flower, Heath Streak, and Grant Flower are some of Zimbabwe’s greatest cricketers in ODIs.
