SA20 is the newest T20 league on the block and the official T20 premier tournament in South Africa. The league consists of 6 teams based in cities around the country, namely: Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC), Durban’s Super Giants (DSG), Joburg Super Kings (JSK), MI Cape Town (MICT), Pretoria Capitals (PC), and Paarl Royals (PC).
Like most of the T20 leagues around the globe, the popularity of the tourney is measured based on its competitiveness, and the key ingredient is the quality of batsmanship. SA20 plays host to some of the best T20 batsmen of this era, like Heinrich Klaasen, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, Aiden Markram, etc., when we consider players from home, and when it comes to overseas stars, we have the likes of Jos Butter, Jason Roy, and Kieron Pollard trying their trade.
