Shreyas Iyer is the ‘Man in Form’ these days; he has got the best numbers in the International circuit for India.
Kolkata Knight Riders had signed him during the mega auction of the Indian Premier League. He will lead the team, which was in the hands of Eoin Morgan till the last season. Though Knight Riders had gone to the finals of IPL 2021, everybody knows that was the magic of a few moments in the Play-offs.
Shreyas has been brilliant in the last couple of months since he recovered from the shoulder injury. He made his IPL debut in the year 2015 for Delhi Daredevils. He has played 87 IPL matches and scored 2375 runs with an average of approx.32.
He had been sold at the hefty amount of 12.25 crore to KKR. He had played a few majestic knocks across all seasons of IPL; that’s the leading cause behind his selection for all three formats in the Indian team.
In the international circuit, he is so naive but has played 66 matches & scored 2144 runs.

#1 96(57) DD vs GL in 2017
Match no 50 between Delhi Daredevils & Gujarat Lions was the most nail-biting tournament encounter. Batting first, Gujarat posted an outstanding total of 195/5 with the assistance of Aaron Finch & Dinesh Karthik’s Knocks.
But, Shreyas Iyer showed a pure batting masterclass of 96(57) during the chase; he had hit 15 fours & 2 sixes. The match had gone close, but DC had won the game by 2 runs.
#2 93*(40) DC vs KKR in 2018
Delhi Capitals had drastically defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in a league match in a league encounter. He had scored 93 runs in just 40 balls with a hovering scoring rate of 232.50, including 3 fours & 10 sixes in it.
Delhi had posted a massive total of 219/4, and in the reply, KKR got stuck on the score of 164/9. Boult, Maxwell & Avesh Khan had shared the number of wickets and, in the end, made Delhi Capitals victorious by a massive margin of 55 runs, and Iyer bagged the player of the match award in the game.
#3 83(56) DD vs MI in 2015
Another classy innings of Shreyas Iyer in the IPL had come against Mumbai Indians in a general encounter during the league time. The one prime thing about Iyer is he always finishes the game for his team.
This time he had played a knock of 83 runs in 56 balls and brought a win for DC. Batting first, Delhi scored a score of 190/4, and as Mumbai batted, they only got to 153/9. In the end, Delhi won the game by 37 runs.
#4 70*(49) DD vs CSK in 2015
2015 was a fantastic year for Delhi as they qualified for Play-offs by beating all the barriers. This time it’s the team of Stalwarts CSK, where Shreyas Iyer stunned them by playing a masterclass innings of 70(49), having 10 fours & a solo six involved.
The disciplined bowling of DD had curbed Chennai on a score of 119/6 and later chased it down by 6 wickets to spare in hands.
#5 58*(49) DC vs PBKS in 2019
This is probably his slowest & tiniest knock in the IPL, but this is a match-winning one in front of all significant figures. He had scored a decent half-ton of 58*(49) induced 5 fours & 1 six. Batting first, PBKS scored 163/7, and in the 2nd innings, they bowled well.
But you can’t give too many chances to Shreyas Iyer; he was dropped two times in the field. And at the end, he took his team to victory with just 2 balls left in the game.
