Key Stats – The Remarkable Double of 10K in Both ODIs & Tests
Sachin Tendulkar is the only player in the world of cricket to score more than 15,000 runs in both the Test and ODI formats.
The master batsman from India ended his career with a mighty aggregate of 15,921 runs in Tests and 18,426 runs in ODIs, respectively.
There are currently six more players who have scored over 20,000 runs in international cricket across all formats.
Among the current-day cricketers, Virat Kohli, who has over 10,000 runs in ODIs, has retired from Tests. Similarly, Joe Root, one of the current members of 10K Test club, no longer plays ODI cricket. Therefore, the chances of any new player joining this exclusive “10,000 runs in both formats” list are very low.
All-round Performance: Jacques Kallis is the only all-rounder with the triple of 10000 runs, 200 wickets, and 200 catches in the longest format. Kallis is also the only player on the list who has also taken close to 300 wickets across both formats.
