Key Insights

Virat Kohli holds the record for smashing the most sixes for a single team in the IPL. Interestingly, all of his sixes have come for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore).

Virat is among the elite players who have represented only one team in the IPL. Since his debut in the prestigious league, he has donned the red jersey of RCB.

Chris Gayle, who has racked up 239 maximums for RCB, is the leading six-hitter in the league’s history with 357 sixes to his name. Thus far, Gayle is the only batter with 300+ maximums in the IPL.

Gayle’s sixes per innings average of 2.84 is the best among the batters with 200+ sixes for a single IPL team.

Five batters have smashed 100 or more sixes for Mumbai Indians, the most for a team in the IPL. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals have three batters each with more than 100 maximums.
