3. Aubrey Faulkner
You can assume how good the performance by Aubrey Faulkner must have been considering we’re going 110 years back to revisit it. During the first test England’s tour of South Africa in 1910, South Africa win the toss and elected to bat first. Faulkner played a crisp knock of 78, and South Africa finished with 208 on the board. England looked dominant against South African bowlers, but Faulkner managed to pick 5 wickets in the 310-run England innings.
South African team was trailing by 102 runs, and Faulkner had the responsibility on his shoulders to give a significant lead to his side.
