Shahid Afridi has smashed the fastest century in the ODI Asia Cup. He took 53 balls to bring up his ton against Bangladesh in 2010. This is also the quickest hundred by a captain in the ODI tournament.
Afridi struck at 206.66 in his 124-run knock, which is the highest strike rate by a centurion in an innings in the ODI Asia Cup.
Rohit Sharma’s 72 against Sri Lanka in 2022 is the highest individual score by a captain in the T20 Asia Cup.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 84 against the same opposition in the same edition is the highest individual score by a wicketkeeper in the T20 tournament.
Gurbaz raced to his fifty off 22 balls, which is the joint-quickest by a batter in the T20 Asia Cup. Suryakumar Yadav is the other batter to score his half-century in 22 deliveries against Hong Kong (68*) in the same edition.
Yadav recorded a strike rate of 261.53, which is the highest by a batter in an innings in the T20 Asia Cup (minimum of 50 runs).
Hayat’s hundred against Oman came off 49 balls, the fastest by a batter in the T20 Asia Cup.
