549 runs scored by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is the highest match aggregate registered in an IPL match. This run-fest unfolded in the 2024 season in Bengaluru, breaking past the three-week-old record of 523 runs by SRH and MI.

Out of the 549 runs, 287 were accumulated by SRH, making it the highest team total in the league. The remaining 262 runs scored by RCB is the highest total in a losing cause in the IPL.

The 2024 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) recorded the most sixes smashed by both teams in a single IPL match. Both teams accounted for 42 maximums combined, as KKR batters slammed 18 sixes, while PBKS batters sent 24 balls over the ropes.

There are over 30 instances of 430 or more runs aggregated in an IPL match, with 11 involving Punjab Kings (PBKS).

The second match of the 2008 season between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings witnessed both teams scoring 447 runs combined. This was the first instance of both teams scoring a total of 400+ runs in an IPL match.
