While chasing a decent total of 159 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), KKR registered the highest ever powerplay figures in the IPL. KKR also held the record for the highest powerplay score in the entire tournament for almost seven years. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) went past their tally in 2024 with 125 runs in the powerplay against Delhi Capitals (DC).

KKR logged their highest team total of 272 for 7 against DC on April 3, 2024, in Visakhapatnam. 88 of those runs alone came in the powerplay phase.

The Knight Riders have scored 70 or more runs in the powerplay overs in 12 matches. Seven of those instances alone came in 2024. And four of those innings came against two opponents – DC and RCB. Apart from the 88 runs, KKR accrued 79 against DC in Kolkata, while they added 85 (in Bengaluru) and 75 (in Kolkata) versus RCB.
